I hate the savage in the book. What an absolute luddite.
Are we gonna see the lower levels? Gammas? Betas? Where are they lmao
Isn't there something about movies about ancient Egypt and the future being inherently tacky? I think that's what they meant by that.

The main city looks beautiful and perhaps true to the material. The reserve where the outcasts live just looked like an underfunded city in a dustbowl. Not pueblos or Hooverville type homes.

Predictive programming for showing you what they are turning our future into. The hide the truth in all the movies and series.
probably not as good as the old version… with added cancel culture and lgbt agenda (guessing)
This is happening in many cities. Dystopia with drugs running rampant.
Aw yes, but the point is that John isn't a cancer he's a novelty to be treated like entertainment. If they saw him as a virus in the book they would have sent him off to Iceland where Bernard and Helmholtz went. Instead Mustapha Mond deliberately kept him around to study him. Even when he was putting nosy reporters in the hospital they did nothing to stop him. Oh, that brings me to Bernard, I hope my boy's in the series, I certainly didn't see him in this damn trailer even though he's a main character for MOST of the book.
Dystopian Future? I call it 2020
Dear me. – Looking through the comments it seems there are a lot of people who are not quite aware what an "adaptation" is – or more precisely: that there is more to it than just changing the medium through which an idea/story is presented. Simply put: an adaptation is the product of you taking an idea from one context and putting it into another one while the idea at the core remains recoginsable. Changing the medium (book -> motion picture) is one possible way in which a story/idea can be adapted. It is not the only one.
I find this adaptation very interesting. It aims to adapt the 'basic fear' people back then to a 'basic fear' that is ever present in todays day and age. Back then people were afraid and sceptical when it came to scientific advances and the effects they may have when brought together with certain political ideas / ideas about social structures (Following rapid industrialisation, the first half of the 20th century saw many ideas about how a 'modern' society should be structured that are 'main stream' or at least 'well known' now emerge and fight for dominance). Now, we live in a scientific, industrialised world. Those fights have been fought and the collectivist / communist idea did not turn out to be the dominant one in the western hemisphere (both the original and the adaptation are informed by a western perspective). – The 'basic fear' we have today revolves more around digitalisation (Social Media, AI, Simulations/Models for decision making, Surveillance, Intelligence etc. pp.) and what might happen to society(/societies) depending on which political actions are taken (or not). — Now, the series doesn't drill super deep into the issue and doesn't really deliver anything groundbreaking or new. Then again, the argument can be made that Huxley, too, wasn't particularily in-depth. It's a vision with big gaps – both the original as well as this one. Anyhow.
The end result is, as far as the story is concerned, average. – Personally I enjoyed the acting, editing, sound and overall cinematography so I found it overall good.
Truth in plain sight.. Really
There are WAY too many white people for it to be "new London", or they subtly trying to associate/condition people to associate dystopian nightmares with white people when in reality the dystopian nightmare they are building, going by what they push and current trends, will see white people as a minority in their own countries?
i just finished the film from 1980 it was really good. I hope this is cool too.
why is Han Solo in this?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Another classic ruined
are all the men transgender in the brave new world?
