Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2021 action role-playing video game developed and published by CD Projekt. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One on 10 December 2021, and will come out for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2021. The story takes place in Night City, an open world set in the Cyberpunk universe. Players assume the first-person perspective of a customisable mercenary known as V, who can acquire skills in hacking and machinery with options for melee and ranged combat.

Cyberpunk 2077 was developed using the REDengine 4 by a team of around 500 people, exceeding the number that worked on the studio’s previous game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015). CD Projekt launched a new division in Wrocław, Poland, and partnered with Digital Scapes, Nvidia, QLOC, and Jali Research to aid the production. Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith was a consultant, and actor Keanu Reeves has a starring role. The original score was led by Marcin Przybyłowicz, featuring the contributions of several licensed artists.

Cyberpunk 2077 received critical acclaim by critics reviewing the PC version, with praise for its narrative, setting, and graphics, although some gameplay elements and technical issues received criticism at launch.

  1. Great and fair review as always, although it always bothers me when someone proclaims that the "combat sucks" and then proceeds to tell absolutely bugger-all about why it sucks. I mean what? What's the deal with combat apart from the imbalanced difficulty modes? How is the act of blasting mofos with your gats a cause for dismay in this game? Cuz from the video it sure looks like a huge step up from something like Bloodlines or even those recent Deus Ex games.

  2. Tbh I got what I want out of this and still am I expected it to be an rpg and I haven't even used a fast travel point once because of how much I like the open world its so beautiful the driving is a bit clunky but personally the more you do it, it just becomes really simple and easier depending on the handling in the vehicle you have

  3. All the NPCs and cars being on rails and having no idea what to do if you stop them is like something from 2001, not 2021. Synchronised getting out of cars is just nuts. The superficiality of it all is really disappointing too. I'll be waiting until this game is in the bargain bin before I pick it up.

  4. The minute that "life" montage with Jackie played I thought to myself "Refund this immediately." But nope here we are again with a half completed game I can't even force myself to complete. Waste of $60…

  5. They should've gone crazy with the cyborg combat abilities, like EYE: Divine Cybermancy. It might've been janky and unbalanced (like this game), but it was still unbelievably awesome how many weapons and abilities you could break the game with.
