Notes:
– It turns out MSI sells a TON of different variants of the GS75 around the world. For example it seems people in the USA can’t get the exact model we have, but they can get the i7-8750H/RTX3080/32GB with 512GB storage for 2499, leaving you ~700$ to expand storage versus our Dutch model. My advice if you’re interested would be to keep an eye out for a good deal on the core specs (CPU, GPU) and just add more SSDs later when you need it.
– Yes you should absolutely consider laptops with RTX 3070/3080 non-max-Q if you don’t care about a thin and light laptop.
– Two M.2 slots support NVME and SATA drives. The third is SATA ONLY.
– More questions? Ask.

Our exact model is the MSI GS 75 8SG-022NL:
CPU: Intel Core i7-8750H 6 cores 12 threads up to 3,9GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q 8 GB
MEM: 32 GB Dual Channel DDR4 2666 MHz
BAT: 82Wh Li-Ion
DISPLAY: 17.3″ 1920x1080p IPS 144Hz 3ms
STORAGE: 2x 512 GB NVMe SSD

  1. I love the hardware and graphics from the 2080. The build quality is terrible though! If you look at the headphone jack wrong, it will break. Mine did after a few months.

  2. Hi TechTesters,

Quick question: If I leave my GS75 laptop with the fan on max everytime I decide to use my laptop (not just for gaming purposes), will doing this hurt my laptop in any way?

I'm just concerned with CPU and GPU temperatures sometimes hitting 89°C and just to be extra safe, I want to always use my fan on max. There's nothing wrong with this, right?
    Thanks

  3. Save your money and buy a decent laptop. My very rarely used MSI GE72vR has cracked at the hinge just like all the others. The problem is due to the hinge mechanism being way too tight but generally the damage is done before owners realise there might be a problem. I paid £1500.00 for this laptop and I cant use it as a laptop anymore.

  4. I am the happy owner of this model I paid 3,200 pounds for him /MSI GS75 Stealth 8SG-046UK / Intel Core i7-8750H Hexa-Core (2.2GHz, 9MB Cache, Intel Turbo Boost Up To 4.1GHz) / 1TB (2x 512GB SSD) 1x Empty / Dedicated (NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2080 Max-Q Design with 8GB GDDR6 Dedicated Memory + Intel UHD Graphics 630) / RAM: 32GB (DDR4-2666 – 1333 MHz) / Samsung M471A2K43CB1-CTD
